Upon entering the salon, I was warmly greeted by Jane, before she took me to my seat. She then prepared water for me to soak my hands in. Because I rarely do my nails, I went in without knowing what designs I wanted.

Jane then showed me a wide array of dazzling designs that she’d done in the past. The designs were extensive and gorgeous.

While discussing nail designs, Jane meticulously filed, reshaped, and thoroughly buffed my nails to a beautiful shine. She then carefully trimmed my cuticles, getting them ready for nail art!

Jane applied the base coat on my fingernails, while we further discussed the designs I wanted for my nails. Because I couldn’t really decide on what I wanted, I gave her the creative freedom to experiment with the various designs that she wanted to do.

Girls who do gel nails frequently will know the steps – apply, cure, repeat. That’s what she did, while we chatted about common topics.

After making sure that the colour was even, Jane proceeded to start designing my nails. I have to say – the entire process is intriguing – it’s amazing how nail artists can fit so much art on such a tiny surface.

And… tadah!

I’m now the proud owner of unique and gorgeous nails! Look at the gorgeous designs! Jane did a really good job.

Everyone who saw my nails were full of praise for them because they were gorgeous. I’m not sure if you can see it in the photos, but there’s a 3D butterfly on the index finger of my right hand. Ingenious.

I was very satisfied with the results. The experience was seamless and awesome as well – I’ve gone for manicures and pedicures where I was left bleeding afterward because they trimmed too much of my cuticles off. Also, Jane’s a great conversationalist, and it was super easy to keep the conversation going. And I love that she doesn’t hard sell her services – because some places do that and it’s honestly kinda intimidating. The little place is cosy and clean, so much so that I feel relaxed throughout the entire process.
